Hello and all the best with this young forum. I'm pleased to have found you. I wondered about the possible benefit of some other board categories. These are just some first 'blue-sky' ideas and may not suit your site, of course:
Coming here for the first time I thought it would be useful to have a kind of settling-in, greetings or 'lounge' type of board where new members could say hi, or post test posts to check out their system, etc..
I then thought that for the benefit of less experienced Buddhists or respectful (hopefully!) interested non-Buddhists, it might be useful to have a board that allows for this more casual approach or perhaps something for putting Buddhism in context of other spiritual philosophies and meditative practices. This could cater for wider moral or personal questions (obviously still with some Buddhist connection). What brought me to seek online help was questions about my life choices, being a respectful, interested non?-sort-of-lapsed-re-found-Buddhist trying to find my way in the foothills of spiritual development, and how other Buddhists might advise me about these life decisions. There seemed nowhere specifically for such wider reflection, unless I've missed it. Of course, the Free-for-All is the obvious next choice, and I'll post my question there. Now what on earth you'd call that board I don't know, maybe just a General board!
Anyway, I'll call that me saying hi
Regards
John
